One of the mind shifts needed in modern health is to find ways to be more proactive. And dedicate more of our own dollars to prevent disease.

It is a shift to think of paying out of pocket for counseling, or massage, or yoga classes, or a nutritionist. Or buying quality foods. Yet these are the ways we feel better and stay healthy.

Research clearly shows our lifestyle habits can influence the onset of costly chronic health problems. It also shows that prescription and medical care costs are concerning.

We know the body has an incredible capacity to restore & repair when given the chance.
There are a variety of online courses to learn about prevention.
There are free apps for mindfulness, group exercise and mental health.
Many offerings online, and youtube.

Start in these areas where there is plenty of agreement.

There are preventative practices to invest time and money that will restore health & vitality.

  • Get help to Stop smoking and limit alcohol

  • Prioritize Sleep & Rest

  • Practice Meditation, Yoga, Massage, Breathe work.

  • Eat nutrient dense foods, consult with a nutritionist, or coach, take cooking classes, learn about food.

  • Maintain a healthy microbiome by eating a diversity of plant food, hydration, and getting out in nature.

  • Stay connected with others and keep moving - join with others in nature walking, hiking, games.
